The organiser of the hugely popular Big Logistics Diversity Challenge has frozen this year’s entry fee at the 2022 price in direct response to the impact the cost of living crisis is having on the logistics and warehousing sector.

Multi-media specialists Nimble Media Ltd has organised The Big Logistics Diversity Challenge (BLDC) since its inception in 2020. The event is specifically designed to promote the importance of equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) and how diversity can be tackled collaboratively and collectively through physical and mental team-building challenges.

Vicky Binley, Director of Nimble Media Ltd explains: “We are acutely aware that the cost of living crisis is negatively impacting all businesses and the logistics and warehousing sector is no exception.

“As budgets are tightened, organisations are being more strategic about their spend and, consequently, more selective about deciding which events are worthy of participation.

“Everyone can agree that creating an inclusive culture which embraces and celebrates individual unique characteristics and where diverse talent can thrive is a commercial imperative and the cornerstone of long-term business success.

“Despite our own costs to stage the BLDC increasing we are committed to supporting the EDI agenda so, to encourage more organisations to participate in this year’s event, we’ve taken the decision to freeze the entry fee at the 2022 price.”

Nimble Media is once again partnering with Talent in Logistics to stage this year’s BLDC at Newark Showground, Nottinghamshire, on 22 June.

The event is an opportunity for organisations to share best practice, network and help shape a more inclusive sector, while recognising and rewarding employees with an adventurous day of fun.

More than 300 industry personnel have already signed up to participate and there is a growing number of supporting organisations recognising the event’s credentials.

As in previous years, the 2023 BLDC chosen charity is Transaid.  The international development organisation has more than 25 years’ expertise with partners and governments in multiple countries, empowering people to build the skills they need to transform their lives through safe, available and sustainable transport.
