Disabled Motoring Case Study
Disabled Motoring UK (DMUK) has been a vital campaigning charity dedicated to improving the lives of disabled drivers, passengers, and Blue Badge holders across the UK. The charity works tirelessly to ensure equal access to motoring for those with disabilities, advocating for better policies, access to vehicles, and mobility aids.
In 2018, Nimble Media became a key partner in supporting DMUK’s mission by taking over the advertising sales and management, as well as overseeing the production and distribution of its monthly magazine.
Fresh Approach to Publishing
The Disabled Motoring magazine, which is free for DMUK members, provides invaluable insights into current campaigns, legislative updates, real-life stories, and expert reviews of vehicles, scooters, and mobility aids. With an engaged readership that relies on the magazine for crucial information, the publication plays a vital role in the disabled motoring community. To ensure it reaches as many people as possible, the magazine is also distributed digitally to online subscribers, advertisers, and supporters of the charity.
When Nimble Media took over the production and management of the magazine, it brought fresh energy and a high level of professionalism to the publication. According to Graham Footer, Chief Executive of DMUK, the partnership has proven to be a great success:

The partnership truly shone during the summer of 2020, when the publication's editorial designer went on maternity leave. Rather than allowing production to slip behind schedule, Vicky Binley and the Nimble Media team stepped in with a solution. Vicky quickly organised for Nimble Media’s design team to take over the role, ensuring the magazine’s production continued without a hitch.
In addition to maintaining the production schedule, the designer refreshed the magazine’s layout, resulting in positive feedback from both DMUK members and advertisers. As Graham explains:
“This level of support has been invaluable. Nimble Media didn’t just fill in the gap, they improved the design and kept everything on track. Their flexibility and willingness to go the extra mile are just two of the many reasons why this partnership has been so successful. I know that whenever we face a challenge, Vicky and her team will find a solution.”
