It’s time for you to meet another member of the wonderful team at Nimble! Carrying on our Meet the Team blog series – letting you get to know the real team ‘behind the screens’, get ready to meet Vicky!
Vicky is Nimble’s fabulous Director and is known around the office for her vibrant personality and her ability to just keep going!
Here’s a bit more about Vicky including her proudest achievement and where she would go if she had a time machine!
Since launching Nimble, what is your proudest achievement?
When I set the company up, a negative person I knew said that I was mad and that 90% of new businesses fail in the first year – the fact that we are about to celebrate our 10th anniversary in 2023 and have grown in size every year is my proudest achievement.
What do you love about working at Nimble?
I am blessed to work with the MOST amazing team of people and surrounded by wonderful customers and suppliers who make every day a pleasure.
Of all the projects you deliver, which is your favourite and why?
I love everything we do, however, if pushed, I would say the Big Challenges. It really is an opportunity to let our creative minds run riot. Watching the teams have so much fun at the live events – as they promote the message to improve EDI and mental health in the workplace – is the biggest reward of all.
Where are we most likely to find you outside of work?
Well… in the last year I have taken up golf so on the local par 3 trying to get my score under 50 before my son will allow me to join him on the front nine – besides that, I love being at home with friends and family and entertaining. I also love going to see anything live – especially music. 🙂
Your top 3 favourite Podcasts/Books/Movies/TV shows?
The best book I have ever read is called The Tent, The Bucket and Me by Emma Kennedy – I have bought it for so many people – it is hilarious!
I love to watch England play in the rugby with my husband and sons – even if some (most) of the time I have no idea what is going on! Gogglebox and Gavin and Stacey are firm favourites – mostly anything easy and happy is my go-to!
My favourite film of all time has to be Dirty Dancing – I have watched it over 100 times and can recite the whole script!
What is your food heaven?
Oysters and champagne – I also love shepherd’s pie.
How long does it take you to get ready in the morning? What is your routine?
15 minutes from bed to shower to the kitchen and can include a hair wash and dry and makeup on, bed made – I am a whirl in the morning and move like Jagger!
Are you a cat person or a dog person? Why?
I am definitely a dog person; we have recently lost our princess Rosie. The love she gave our family was immense – we were truly blessed to have her as part of our family for 16 years.
If you had access to a time machine, where and when would you go?
I would go back to when my boys were both 2 years old to give them big squishy baby hugs.
